Moving Healthcare AI Ethics into Clinical Practice

Artificial intelligence (AI) systems are increasingly applied in healthcare yet also foster ethical concerns and questions. Despite the attention to these healthcare AI ethics, such questions have yet to be made practically useful for developers, policymakers, and clinicians.

In this presentation, I will explore how we can make healthcare AI ethics tangible and relevant for the clinical practices in which AI is used. With inspiration from medical anthropology, science and technology studies, and human-computer interaction, I will discuss what it takes to create ethically acceptable healthcare AI, not just theoretically but also practically.
